Manhattan Medical Partners is the Gastroenterology practice of Dr. Ron Palmon and Dr. Peter K. Chang.

We specialize in gastroenterology and liver disease, including acid reflux, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhea, swallowing disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, colon polyps and cancer, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, hepatitis, gallstones, and diseases of the bile duct and pancreas. We perform procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy with an anesthesiologist.

Our Philosophy

In recent years, most private practices have been purchased by large hospitals or multi-specialty groups, becoming “mega-practices” often owned by private equity corporations.  Too often this leads to impersonal service, difficulty contacting your physician, as well as increased charges.  We are the only small private GI group left affiliated with the flagship Mount Sinai Hospital. Drs. Chang and Palmon maintain a traditional small-office setting on Park Avenue with a stable and small set of staff members.  We respond to phone calls personally and pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service to our patients.  This is the way medicine should be practiced, but sadly is become a thing of the past in most cases. We value our patients greatly and look forward to forming a lifelong relationship.  Many of our patients are referred by their friends, colleagues, and family members who have had a positive experience with us

The Doctor is a true professional as are all on his staff. I was shown into his office on time. The Doctor asked many questions, all pertinent, and then explained in detail the procedure that he recommended for me and the reasons for it. We also discussed medication options, benefits and risks. Very thorough and inspired a great deal of confidence in his abilities. Thank you Doctor and Staff.
Everyone on staff was professional and courteous and nice, and I waited just a few minutes to be see. Dr. Palmon was great, professional and knowledgeable —he explained everything simply and in detail to me, he wanted to hear why I was there, what concerned me, offered advice, took into account family history, and recommended tests he thought would be useful and advised against overtesting. All in all everyone was great.
